How much will it cost the client?

The price will be standardized at 99¢ per square foot for a one color Job Order with an 8% shipping/handling and applicable tax.

15 cents per square foot extra for a two color job

15 cents per square foot extra for the patent-pending Cooling Agent option.

 

How will it hold up to rock salt and chemical based ice products?

The LookNEW coloring agent was invented and patented in 1989, making it a one-of-a-kind product designed for Theme Parks, used in places like Disneyland and Universal Studios where beauty, low liability and the ability to withstand high traffic came together. Therefore, LookNEW is designed to soak in and bond with the “substrate” of the concrete. The color consequently holds up as well as the actual concrete itself to the things mentioned. Unlike concrete stains which sit on top of the concrete and begin to peel, bubble, chip and crack. Even snow shoveling and plowing have no more affect on the coloring agent than it does on raw concrete, i.e. Scraping the microtop of the concrete; in which case, call the Rep back for a 50% of refresh anytime you would like (within 3 years from the last service).

 

What happens if a section of concrete is replaced, will the color be even? How about a color match after weathering?

The answer to this question makes men who have done this type of work in the past stand up and clap. First of all, you can refresh the driveway to its original beauty with a light pressure wash and one coat up to three years after, which is why LookNEW auto-enrolls every client into the “50% of Refresh for Life”, meaning half the cost to the client and the same hourly rate to the Rep. Once you go beyond three years, a normal pressure wash and two coats are required to refresh it.

Secondly, you can change colors without stripping! At 99¢ per sf, we will pressure wash and add two coats of the new color!

Thirdly, repaired concrete (the checkerboard look that is so common across America) can be colored with two coats to produce an even finish where the repair is made near invisible. We even have a “concrete color” that makes your repaired driveway, patio, etc. completely even and makes it look like you poured the concrete yesterday!

 

How do you handle the expansion joints – do they get coated as well? If so will that impact their ability to expand?

Expansion joints, as well as cracks, due to the color being absorbed into the concrete, are muted, softened in their appearance unlike concrete stains that magnify them and make them scream at you. No impact is made on the concrete’s ability to expand and contract.

 

Down South you have a lot of shells mixed into the concrete – how will the shells react to the coating?

The color will simply adhere to the shells, where on concrete the color will soak in. Therefore the color will come off of the shells/aggregate over time depending on the amount of traffic. The color does not come off the concrete at all, so the shells will begin to show through. One solution is to visibly check the driveway for the appearance of shells and choose a color that most closely matches the shells. Sometimes even a contrasting color is chosen with the understanding that the shells will eventually give the driveway an attractive pattern.

 

Will it work on concrete pavers as well?

LookNEW colors pavers exactly like raw concrete. Any cement based material will take to the LookNEW product.

 

On concrete parking lots, how will it handle the painted stripes?

LookNEW has government approved “Safety Yellow”, so you strip the painted lines off, pressure wash the area, apply you primary color of choice and then replace the lines with the LookNEW product.

 

Once applied, will the coating protect the concrete from further deterioration?

The deterioration of concrete is unaffected by this coloring agent. However, due to the coloring agent having an intrinsic sealer and absorbing deep into the concrete, mildew and mold have less of a place to call home and therefore LookNEW reduces the speed at which they reform which helps the concrete look pretty a bit longer. The product is only as strong as the concrete to which it is applied.

 

Will the Reps be able to take credit cards from the homeowner at the time of purchase?

Yes, LookNEW will process all payments either by Credit Card or an ACH transaction, whichever the Client prefers. The Rep logs in to our system with username and password, then enters the job and payment info through our secure website gateway that is totally PCI Compliant.

 

What’s the warranty period? Is it guaranteed against fading?

The warranty is against any product defect and states the product will be replaced at no charge and since you can change colors without stripping, no harm done. We have yet to have a problem. All product is dropped shipped to our Reps by individual Client Job Orders straight from the loading dock at the Manufacturer. Quality control is one of the strengths of this Manufacturer. All warranties and EPA regulatory approvals are extended to LookNEW.

Fading occurs only because the actual concrete is being microscopically worn away. The product is only as strong as the concrete it is applied to, therefore there is no guarantee against fading. BUT that is why we enroll every client into our “50% Off Refresh For Life”.
